Shimla is the capital city of Himachal Pradesh and top tourist spot in India. It is situated in the North-West side of the Himalayan Mountain Range and has a number of Best places to visit in Shimla.

Christ Church: 


The oldest church in the city was built in British era to offer the huge British community in the region. Architected in Neo-Gothic way, the church is one of the treasures of the British rule. It is Shimla’s most popular landmark.     

Jakhoo Temple:


The temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman and located on Jakhoo hill. The temple offers you wonderful sights of the Shivalik Mountains and the close by landscapes of Sanjauli city.

The Ridge of Shimla: 


It is a spacious platform where you will have a great sight of the mountain peaks. The snow- covered peaks enhance the beauty of the green surroundings for which Shimla is known.

The State Museum: 


It possesses a great set of superb paintings, coins, sculptures, photos, handicrafts, etc, not only for the city but also for India. A number of travellers per day visit the state museum and it lies in the Mall area of Shimla. Established in the way of regal structure with extensive lawns all around, the museum was opened in 1974.

George Castle: 


This ancient palace was made by Scindia rulers and was a hunting place for Mughal Emperors. The castle houses the most beautiful creations that you would have never seen. It is surrounded by dense forest

The Mall: 


It is the main shopping area in the city and has a number of restaurants, ATMs, shops, government offices, and others. The Mall road is famous in Shimla and one of the important shopping destinations for tourists and locals.

Tara Devi Temple: 


The temple is situated at 1851 feet above the ground and 11 km away from Shimla. The temple is easy to reach by train, car, and bus.

Summer Hill:  


Bordered with scenic view, the Ridge is the small city in Summer hill. It is also popular because Mahatma Gandhi used to stay here whenever he visited Shimla. It is also a home of Himachal Pradesh University.

Gaiety Heritage Cultural Complex: 


The complex is the historical place in Shimla and with 122 years old, it has been currently reopened to the public. The theatre is made in a Gothic Victorian Style and a significant place for many cultural and literary programs. 


Shimla is filled with many attractions and each attraction has unique charm to attract the travellers. There are lots of other places near Shimla, which can be also discovered through rental cars or taxis. Shimla is well connected by major cities of India, so you will have a comfortable journey to reach here.
